BEHOLD: THE FUTURE OF CAP!

Thank you to all who came out to the board elections! Without further ado, I present you with your FUTURE LEADERS OF CAP:

President – Jonothan Long
VP/Artistic Director – Vic Versprille
Treasurer – Christen Demnitz
Secretary – Cody Martin
Business Manager – Sabrina Berg
Publicity Coordinator – Megan Couillard
Historian – Angelina Dixon

Congratulations to all! I am very excited to see the great things to come from CAP with this kind of leadership.

*Webmaster and Technican Director applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis until the end of MAY (5.31.12) and will be selected by the Superboard (current and future CAP Executive Board) and notified of appointed by June 6.30.12. If you wish to apply for either of these positions, the following is a description of the position:

Technican Director - As tech director, you shall oversee the technical aspects of all CAP shows and events by working closely with directors and coordinators. These aspects include but are not limited to lighting, sound, and large set pieces. The CAP prop closet is your domain and you may use any means approved by the board to enforce its upkeep. You construct your team of tech-savy personnel and get your own personal thanks after every performance.

Webmaster - As webmaster, you create and maintain the organization’s website (this one) as well as maintain its listserv (CAP_list emails). The relevant information you see here (as determined by the board) is what you make available to all members who seek out the website. It is important that this is current, accurate, and fun to look at.

Tech Director is a voting member and is required to attend board meetings once a week (traditionally on Sundays 9:30pm). Webmaster is encouraged to attend these meetings if he wishes to have the same voting priviledges as the rest of the executive board.

Please include the following in your applications:
The Basics – name, CAP involvement, student/work committments
Qualifications – what knowledge or experience do you possess that makes you a potential candidate? (i.e. Tech director – helping with prev shows helps/Webmaster – knowing how to type code also helps).
Simple Yes/No Question – WILL YOU COMMITT TO ATTENDING MEETINGS EVERY SUNDAY 9:30PM (during the semester, excludes common holidays)?

ONE FINAL NOTE:

Come See Wacky Hijinks 2012! This weekend is your last chance to see the original sketch comedy artists at work in their very own sketches, written, produced and performed by none other than themselves! Friday and Saturday April 27th-28th, 2012 8pm in Scott Hall 135 on College Avenue Campus (Rutgers – on the corner of Hamilton St and College Ave across from the Grease Trucks).

-That is all,

The Future College Avenue Players! – Board Elections APRIL 26TH, 2012 9PM-11PM

Hey Everybody,

The 2012 CAP Board Elections have been rescheduled to this THURSDAY, APRIL 26TH, 2012 9PM. Same Place: Scott Hall 135. I encourage those of you who have interest in being the future leaders of this fun-tastic organization to step forward and run for office. Here are the basics:
*You cannot nominate yourself, so please, let it be known that you intend to run.
*You must be a CAP member or alumnus to vote in the elections. That means you must have been involved in a CAP show in the past year (2011-2012), gone to (at least) ONE general interest meeting in 2011-2012 or graduated as a member of CAP in the past (alumni).
*The nominees for positions MUST accept their nominations to run.

Voting is done after a campaign period where each candidate makes their speech about how they would be a good board member and after a short Q&A from the general membership, they are asked to leave the room.

Once a decision is reached, the candidates are invited back in and the winner is announced. The newly elected board members will join the current 2011-2012 board to become… THE SUPERBOARD! I wish you all the best of luck and I cannot wait to see the new faces of the CAP board and KNOW that the future of CAP will be AWESOME!

-See you all there,
Charlene Wiencke
CAP President 2011-2012

Keep in mind…If you don’t vote, the TERRORISTS WIN.
